Am trying to incorporate suggestions like those from Swapnil, who requested that questions be given.

Am posting links here as that would be more beneficial in the long run.If I find anything that necessarily needs to be paraphrased will do so. So far most of the info is fairly simple and it might sink in better if you read it with reference to context.

If you work better mugging up Questions and Answers then all problems solved - Malayalam Manorama Yearbook Hooray!!

Please do refer to the book nevertheless.

Lists of Acronyms, abbreviations etc are cited within the Yearbook and in UPSC books. Will also try to provide links to sites that give you the basic info. While reading info posted on the various websites, too, you should be gaining knowledge of the short forms.
